Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life's irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her nutso cousin and dealing with her dad's untimely and unexplained demise. That's where Vic Barinov comes in - or his house does. Vic can't step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash and getting the TV remote sticky. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he'll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge.

As a honeybadger Livy Kowalski likes few things in life: honey, her best friend Toni and sleeping in Vic Barinov’s cabinets. As much as Vic has tried to persuade her to go somewhere else he has the best honey around and with her family in town she needs somewhere to crash. While helping Vic on a project Livy makes a startling discovery that turns her world upside down. Livy is out for revenge and she needs Vic’s help to keep her family in line and out of jail. The more time Livy spends with Vic the more she starts to depend on him and soon realizes that honey badgers do have feelings.

Vic Barinov just wants the small but sexy honey badger to stop breaking into his home, digging holes in his yard and walls and for her to stop eating his honey! Livy keeps Vic on his toes but she does come in handy when he needs her to break into places to help him get information. When one mission ends up hurting Livy, Vic’s surprised at how much he cares and finds himself stopping at nothing to help her get her revenge, even if that means dealing with a crazy clan of honey badgers. Vic always thought he would be alone but Livy has snuck into his heart and he will do everything to keep her forever.

I was so excited for Bite Me to come out but I was a little nervous to read it since I wasn’t a huge fan of the last two books in the series. Bite Me is everything I’ve come to love about Shelly Laurenston’s books: hilarious dialogue, sexy shifters and a lot of crazy action and adventure. I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book and I stayed up way too late to finish it cause I could not put it down.

Livy and Vic have been side characters in previous books and I was thrilled to hear they would be a couple and that we were getting there book so soon. Livy is hilarious and her large honey badger family are a trip. I could not get over the crazy things they did to each other and others. Vic and his family are just as entertaining, especially his Russian father. I wasn’t sure if I would like Livy since she is a honey badger with poor social skills and a habit for clawing people who make her mad but she is now one of my favorite characters in this series. She was perfect for Vic and I liked that they both grew into the relationship and didn’t fall in love right away.

Once again Shelly Laurenston delivers a hilarious shifter romance book that I could not put down. I feel really good about this series again and was really happy that some loose ends from previous books got resolved. I’m hoping that we get Shen’s book next since I am fascinated with his constant bamboo eating. I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning and it will be so worth it since the books are so good.

Favorite quote: “I’m not asking you to marry me. I’m asking you not to break into my home.”
